Chiropractic Adjustments
The ability of a joint and it’s surrounding tissue to move and function properly are vital to sport and our daily life activities. A Chiropractic Adjustment is a quick, but shallow thrust to a joint to help re-establish normal range of motion and joint function.
Rehabilitation Exercises
Progressive and gentle exercises best utilized after an injury to soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments to help restore tissue function and health.
Corrective Exercises
Used to re-establish proper muscle firing and movement patterns to prevent a problem from reoccurring. Our bodies can become accustomed to our regular postures and activities, which can create muscle imbalances that can require targeted stretching and muscle strengthening.
Soft Tissue Manipulation
Muscles, tendons, ligaments and even fascia can be involved in dysfunction or injuries and often adjusting the associated joint(s) is not enough to completely solve the issue. Soft Tissue Manipulation helps reduce muscle tension and pain, and can help restore proper soft tissue function and range of motion.
Nutritional / Supplement Therapy
Occasionally a supplement or nutritional changes may be recommended if in the best interest of the patient.
Pre-participation Sports Physicals
General health physical examination required for athletes. Further examinations by medical doctors may be indicated.
Pediatric Care
The birth process is physically stressful on a baby’s cranial bones, spine and nervous system. This can be a contributing cause of many health and behavioral complaints in newborns and we recommend baby exams within the first two months.
Pre/Post Natal Care
Mom’s body is going through a lot of postural adaptations, pelvic changes, and stress of every kind. Many women can develop back pain throughout their pregnancy. Furthermore, a misaligned pelvis can reduce the amount of space available to a developing baby and may make it harder for the baby to get into the best possible position for delivery.
Massage Therapy
Alternative therapies are often more effective when used in conjunction with each other. Massage therapy is an effective tool for addressing soft tissue problems such as with muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.
